A few days ago I basted both of my reflected quilts – cotton candy (which unfortunately the pictures didn’t turn out of the basting) and the one you see above. It has been awhile since I have basted such a small quilt (42″ x 54″) and I loved it (it was so easy and quick). I need to make smaller quilts more often…
Now that they are basted I am in the process of quilting and binding both of them. I am also writing the pattern which covers both versions but is slightly more complicated to write than I initially thought. Thanks for reading!

This is such a great design. I look forward to seeing how you quilt it, and to seeing the other version as well.

Very pretty. I like how you played with the tones in the background. Nice work!

Lovely quilt! It looks like you used spray basting. How do you like that? I have some but have yet to try it out.

I almost always spray baste and for the most part I like it. I typically spray baste and then throw a few pins in for good measure – although many people say that you don’t need to do that (I am just a little paranoid). I did find that on the Minky material the stickiness did not last like it does with regular cotton (it lasted long enough to get this one quilted, but not on another one I was working on).
