A while back one of my good friends told me she is pregnant! While we were catching up and discussing the exciting news I found out that she planned to make the nursery a Finding Nemo theme and that they were not going to find out the sex of the baby ahead of time. Of course I needed to make her a quilt so I set about trying to find the perfect fabrics. Enter the Finding Dory collection from Camelot Fabrics. I love that these fabrics could be either Finding Nemo or Finding Dory and I think they will suit either a Boy or a Girl!
All the Finding Dory fabric has been fussy cut to showcase the characters. The other fabrics I added are Robert Kaufman, including some Blueberry Park by Karen Lewis, Spot On, Crosshatch by Carolyn Friedlander, Kona and Conservatory by Heather Jones. I wanted the quilt to read mostly blue and teal with pops of white and orange and I am loving fabrics so far.
The pattern is just going to be a simple equilateral triangle quilt, a new technique to me, and I am having a lot of fun trying it out. I will share more soon as this is sewing up very quickly.
