Hi Guys!
It has been awhile since I have last posted but I finally have a working computer again and some time to actually sit down and write. Who knew this whole job thing would take up so much of my time huh? 😉
Since I started my job at RK I have had the opportunity to design some custom quilts and projects for different companies, and I thought I would share a few that have been released. Please keep in mind that while I designed these projects and wrote the patterns for them, I personally did not sew them.
First up are a few Projects I created for Keepsake Quilting. Keepsake typically has a more traditional audience so the projects created for them are typically geared towards that audience. That being said, these first two projects (which were released in their last catalogue), I wouldn’t consider traditional. I was given instructions to create a runner and a lap quilt using the Tigerfish Batik collection by McKenna Ryan and this is what I came up with.
I am usually not a huge batik fan, but I do have to say I love the vibrant colors of this collection, and I love the way this quilt turned out. It is actually hanging behind my desk at work now. The quilt finishes at 60″ x 72″ and is made entirely of half rectangle triangles. It uses the entire collection of fabrics, and the direction includes exact placement for all the fabrics (if you are so inclined to copy it exactly). If you are interested in seeing the kits for this quilt they can be found here on the Keepsake website.
The runner I designed to be precut friendly. It uses a charm pack of Tigerfish with a little extra for borders and binding. I can no longer find this product online, so I am assuming it has sold out, but luckily I had taken a picture of it in the catalogue to send to my Grandma so I do have picture proof of it.

I purchased the quilt kit for Tide Pools but am finding the instructions a bit confusing! Do you have a tutorial for this pattern?

I emailed you awhile back – let me know what you are finding confusing and I would be happy to help.

Do you sell the pattern for the tide pool or does it just come with the kit from KQ?
Thank you

Hi Elise. I’m looking for a pattern for the Jewel Terrace quilt.
Do you offer a pattern I can buy?
Thank you,
