The third border for my medallion quilt is finally attached. Weeks of waiting for the fabric and the time to finish this border (and the rest of the quilt) have finally paid off. This is my favorite row so far. I just love the way the stars came together and it was fun not worrying about being precise when making them because they were supposed to be wonky!
I am now off to work on the final section of the quilt top.

Wow! This is beautiful! I never thought I would want to make a medallion quilt, but this is making me think about it. I like wonkiness, too. It makes things so much easier!

I have never made a medallion quilt before and this does inspire me to try. Nice work. Love the bright cheery colors and the wonkiness. I am surprised by the use of gray but I really like it.

What a great medallion quilt! I've got plans for one of my own but haven't had a chance to start it yet. Now I'm thinking about a scrappy grey background!

Love it! That last border of positive/negative wonky stars is such a perfect addition, Elise! And those colour look great against that scrappy neutral background. Looks like you are having fun!

I really like this quilt! First thing that struck me was the colors–the grays work so well with the brights; second the zig zag border–one of my favorites; third the outer star border–I love the alternating positive/negative, and I like that the spacer border is pieced grays; fourth the center–the strips cut into those narrow points looks good.

Looking great! I love their wonkiness, it somehow makes them sparkle more, especially combined with the many shades of grey/low volume which you have used. I find it gives the eye plenty to take it in a pleasant way.
