The last few weeks have been crazy around here and for one reason or another I never seemed to have the time or resources to continue working on my medallion quilt. It all started out with my one-year anniversary at work, which delayed me from buying any fabrics until the end of the month (more on that soon). We then had a slew of unexpected guests from out-of-town (pilots trying to get together with other pilots always seems to be short notice thing) and to top it all off I have been taking care of 5 horses and 2 cats (one of whom needs to be medicated twice per day).
After finally getting back into the swing of things the blocks for my next border are complete although not yet laid out and sewed together. For this row I decided to go with wonky star blocks, a block I have never made but have seen and thought they would make such a perfect border. As with the x and plus blocks I did half of them with grey backgrounds and half with colored backgrounds and plan on alternating background colors around the outside.
More to show soon – I hope!

Oooh pretty! I can really see these as a most fun and inspiring border. I looove the brights with the greys – it is the perfect pairing!!

I so love the orange! There's not nearly enough orange in the world. Glad to see you and hope things calm down enough to get busy with the sewing machine!
