| My First Quilt Pattern – Gray Matter |
I did it.
It has been months in the making but I finally finished my first pattern.
The pattern will be available as a PDF and is 9 (single sided) pages long. It includes detailed instructions every step of the way and full color step-by-step diagrams for laying out and sewing the blocks.
Included in the pattern is 3 different size options:
Throw Size: (51.5″ x 66″)
Twin Size: (68″ x 82.5″)
Full/Double Size: (82.5″ x 97″)
For the cover quilt I used a variety of dark, medium and light greys with blue as my accent color. I also pulled a few fabrics that gave the overall impression of grey but contained white and blue in them as some of my medium greys. The quilt is backed in a dark grey bubble print and bound in a black Michael Miller Krystal print.
I quilted the quilt using straight lines about 1/2″ from each side of the large triangle. In addition I created spirals and small triangles on all the black squares.
