The last couple weeks have been quite busy for me! I finally finished my Sun quilt top, then I had to fix the top and I have begun the quilting process. Unfortunately I hit more speed bumps as my sewing machine decided to stop working properly and I had to take it in for repairs. Luckily for me my mother kindly offered to let me borrow her machine.
Her machine is a beast compared to mine and the quilting of the sun quilt has gone much more smoothly under it. I have completed quilting the sun and more than half of the background and it just flies through that machine. Don’t get me wrong I am not complaining about my machine it is just that when I am doing the actual quilting it is sometimes hard to cram a quilt into the tiny throat space on mine. Think a 5.5″ throat compared to about an 8.5″ throat.

In addition if you look at the above picture you will notice half a tree leaning up against my sewing room window. I saw that happen this morning. I had just gotten up went into my sewing room and all of a sudden I hear a noise slowly scraping on the window. I look up to find the top of a tree slowly falling over onto the roof. Luckily it appears to have caused no damage, probably because it tipped over so slowly. I mean seriously, as far as trees falling over go, this was rather unexciting… not that I wanted more excitement, I’m just saying.
I hope you are all having a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!
